Loy Kratong

The RIS Phuket campus was immersed in the vibrant traditions of Thailand on November 2, 2023, as students and families gathered to celebrate the Loy Kratong festival. The campus grounds were transformed into a lively cultural hub, with children eagerly participating in traditional Thai games and activities. One of the highlights was the kratong building workshop, where participants meticulously crafted beautiful lotus-shaped vessels adorned with flowers, incense, and candles. As the sun set, the campus community gathered to float their kratongs in the nearby waters, making wishes and paying respect to the goddess of waters. The event fostered a deeper appreciation for Thai culture while creating cherished memories for all in attendance.
